CONSORTIUM
As a member of an international consortium, SEACON EUROPE successfully joined to the program „Az EUREKA programban való magyar részvétel támogatása (2018-2.1.3-EUREKA)” published by the NRDI Office. The common project proposal called FLEETHEALTH, developed in cooperation with the Czech LEVEL sro, received fund both at EU level and in the two member states.
The overall goal of the two companies' joint developments is to realize an automated data collection that goes beyond the standard data collection with GPS tracking devices by collecting on-board information (error codes) from control units and / or additional sensors, complemented by official certificates and environmental characteristics. The result is used to exactly represent the condition and operation of the vehicle.
FLEETHEALTH: Vehicle health and fraud detection solution for the road traffic developing improved on board unit, communication device and specific fleet operation support or controlling software tool as cloud based back-office application.
FleetHealth projekt
Our extended intelligent fleet management solution envisions the concept of integrated, wireless or cable-based sensors, which adds more electronically collected and processed information to vehicle event detection, tracking and validation, enterprise information management supply. The solution is resulting reduced operating costs, more flexible capacities, positive effects on the "health" and fraudulent operation of the vehicle.
Improving the existing SEAFLEET product with integration of the LEVEL's novel developments to the EU level, using objective measurement results will allow users to make better decisions about fleet operation and vehicle usage. This improvement will be achieved through the development of two completely new system modules, namely the vehicle health and fraud detection.
The new modules will be available in the Seafleet fleet operation suport, fully integrated into the typical processes of corporate management.

SeaForest in Perú
With the support of Innoskart Ltd. a staff member of Seacon Europe Ltd. participated in a commercial mission organized in Lima within the framework of the project called Natureef between 2 and 13 July 2017. He had more personal meetings with companies and institutions in the forestry and agriculture sectors here.
Knowing the forest sector and the importance of the forest management in Perú, Seacon was primarily looking for the place of its forest and area protection solution in the South American country. During the business meetings it was discussed the specificities of the industry and the threats of the related activities. The business partners welcomed the innovative product developed by Hungary and they seemed useful its application in many ways. Regarding the knowledge of the local forestry industry the meetings organized with the staff of the National Forest and Wildlife Service (Servicio Nacional Forestal y de Fauna Silvestre) and Association for Research and Integral Development (Asociación para la Investigación y el Desarrollo Integral) were especially interesting where it was about application possibilities and possible pilot implementation as well.
Seacon was invited to the "ELAN Network Event in Peru 2017: Technologycal solutions for an integral urban growth. Sustainable business LAC-EU" organised by Sociedad Nacional de Industrias (SNI) which was taken place in Peru on 4-5 July. The European participants had here the opportunity to make a very short introduction of their companies and explain their objectives during the event. On the B2B meetings Seacon had conversations with Peruvian companies about its business cooperation concepts.

Intellifood and Fiware

Application of the FIWARE GEs in IntelliFood
Concept
As our sensor-network based applications collect data and one of the uses of these data is checking them under conditions and sending alarms or notifications, so we aimed to use the Orion Context Broker and Complex Event Processing Enablers in the first stage. This will be the first project where we used these tools go live. So far, pilot exercises tested on what they know. But there are many other FIWARE components what we have already reviewed and we found one that we want to try. We hope that this will also soon be available. For example the Open Data theory is very close to us so we would like to use it. The Big Data tools are also very interesting and we gather the knowledge about them.
Details
There are two Generic Enablers applied in the project:
- Complex Event Processing (CEP) - IBM Proactive Technology Online
- Publish/Subscribe Context Broker - Orion Context Broker
The application collecting the sensors’ data is connected to an Orion Context Broker. The sensor continuously bombards the broker and the data get in the persistent store based on MongoDB.
The Complex Event Processing GE is in connection with Orion GE and it will help us to explore the warnings, failures, errors, extreme measurement values, the adequacy of the data associated with the time created in our system.
We use the Cygnus broker as well that is a modul of Orion (Cygnus, the Orion Performance Enhancing Proxy).
Because of the big data amount derived from the intelligent measurement we apply the Cosmos broker. Thie choice was effective. In he next period we will searching for the integration methods of the BigData Analysis - Cosmos GE.
Intellifood in questions

IntelliFood and the perishable foods in the light of questions

What are the unique selling points of the company?
Seacon Europe was founded in 2005 in Hungary. This SME, R&D intensive, develops customized software and out-of-box applications with .Net and Java platforms in various business areas: log analysis, fleet management, sensor-network based analyzer and controlling/monitoring applications. Moreover, Seacon Europe always dealt with research and development in new areas.
What are the main aspects of your project?
Our goal is to develop software with an hardware-software architecture that communicates wirelessly and an overlaid controlling/monitoring solution. The lowest level of our solution is a foolproof sensor network which can be maintained with low energy; the top level solution is an intelligent information software system providing complex analysis.
In the area of food industry we develop controlling software based on objective measurements, which will be built in several stages of the supply chain, starting from storage through production to delivery, in order to increase the food security and reduce the related risks or ensure the traceability of the products and materials.
Thanks to our solution the measurement mechanisms are built-in in the manufacturing process and the known parameters can be integrated with other production and environmental characteristics, by transmitting to the food industry players innovative information based on complex analysis results performed with intelligent method.
How did you work on the project idea?
We would like to provide our customers innovative solutions, but we also use our past experiences. We prefer think together with our customers and figure out the best solutions. If we see that our solution is positive for an area, we try to use them in another area as well. Therefore, we are looking for customers who are receptive to innovative solutions and also for projects that are useful in practice. We think it is a very good idea to promote the dissemination of new technology with tenders, since innovation always involves high costs. In our projects, we are applying wireless sensor network, intelligent analyzes and FIWARE-based solutions in industrial environment.
We have already developed applications based on sensor networks, such as industrial and agricultural solutions. We focus on the utilization, the presentation/visualization and the intelligent analysis of data, considering that our real specialty is to help background understanding. In connection with the application of agricultural sensors, we had the idea to make something more, measuring the storage and the processing phases. These solutions, rather than quantity, place the emphasis on quality.
What is the new and innovative aspect of your solution?
To sum up, the innovative functions of our solution are:
- Joint control and monitoring of the various stages of the food supply chain using objective measurement data collection.
- Preparation of summary reports and analyzes about the various stages of the food supply chain.
- Intelligent information module that provides to professionals an opportunity to optimize food production and storage (transport) and to reduce costs.
What do you think about Fiware and Fi Space?
Our sensor-network based applications collect data and one of the uses of these data is checking them and sending alarms/notifications, we aimed to use so in the first stage the Orion Context Broker and Complex Event Processing Enablers. This is the first project where we really use these tools. Pilot exercises were tested on what they know.
There are also many other FIWARE components that we have already reviewed and we found one that we want to try. We hope that this will also soon be available. For example, the Open Data theory is very close to us and we would like to use it. The Big Data tools are also very interesting and we gather the knowledge about them.
In our experience, achieve the components in the cloud is sometimes uncertain, but we know this is under progress and it is the sign that the tools became popular. In addition, the access to the documentation on the website sometimes fails, probably because the load is too high. The FIWARE support team is very active and positive. A good idea is the weekly phone call with the access options to the questions, but we will take this advantage in the intensive stage of development. It really seems that the FIWARE team wants to provide practical assistance and not increase the administrative burden.
We have not really used the FISpace facilities , but we think it is a very good idea and a useful possibility for companies who want to develop their relationship. We have already received invitations for webinars linked to our specialties and we attended some of them.
